When capturing on film Earth, rocketeers commonly capitalize on sunglint's tendency to increase the comparison in between water areas as well as concerning property surface areas. In the 1960s, the Alabama Waterway was stopped up, producing Dannelly Tank (the large polishing area at center left). Development of the dam also reared water table upriver. This led to flooding at numerous points along the stream. These disaster area are actually regular of flood plains-- the poor, standard areas immediately close to much larger waterways. In this photo, flooded zones seem like uneven, bright shapes extending off of the waterway, like at Gee's Bend (center bottom).Text Credit Report: Justin Wilkinson.Photo Credit History: NASA/Woody Hoburg.
