.Several transformative paths can easily trigger a supernova surge. One is the death of a supermassive star. When a supermassive celebrity runs out of its hydrogen gas, it starts a stage where it fuses the remaining components to bigger as well as much heavier ones. As heavier elements form in the celebrity's primary, the core itself begins to fully fall down under its own gravitational force, and the star's external layers blow up away in a supernova explosion.
